I have been in the hobby since October 4th, 2006. I love all kinds of dolls, but the customization of BJDs is unparalleled. I shell my book OCs into dolls, although it was really dolls that inspired me to start writing and reading again. Over the years I have learned to sew, photograph, build, and make wigs and eyes. I enjoy trying everything at least once. I still need to learn how to make shoes!
What do you do for the site?
I make sure everyone is happy and having fun :D I also try and break features for our fearless leader! I'm here most of the day so if you need anything, give me a shout!
What do you do for the Discord/community?
The same thing. I'm not a techie, but I just try and fill in the gaps where people need me to make it smooth!
Why are you in the hobby?
I've been here since 2006 and I love BJDs. I've been active in the hobby for the last 20 years and love all aspects of the hobby.
Why are you part of Dollvale?
Welcoming environment! Bluefire has been so kind since the beginning, so I want to do anything to help someone working so tirelessly to have a forum for doll people.
Anything else members should know?
I write amazing books! The hobby inspired my books and my passion for life again. Jordan Fox (they/them) is my pen name, I have been writing as a hobby for 18 years and developed a love for books early in life as a form of escapism. Raised in a turbulent environment, I gained a wealth of life experiences from many walks of life. Drawing from these personal journeys, I craft immersive and intricate worlds for my readers, carefully balancing detail without overwhelming the story.
I identify as a NonBinary Pansexual that has ADHD. I have a deep appreciation for body modification, gothic subculture, BJDs, cats (black ones especially), Egyptian mythology, and a diverse range of music, particularly EBM/Futurepop. I live in Canada with my partner of 16 years with no pets, since my partner is sadly very allergic to cats.
My name is Bluefire, I go by Blue, I was in the doll facebook community for a couple years (I first started in the hobby about 2022) and really struggled with the strange gatekeeping and FB mentality/elitisms so I wanted a place that could just be about dolls, not egos, not information gatekeeping, just, dolls
What do you do for the site?
I reused the old VinylDollVault website from 2024, and reskinned it, and upgraded it to become Dollvale, I now maintain functionality and focus on user experience suggestions, feedback, and code.
What do you do for the Discord/community?
I maintain the website and try to keep a warm place available for people to have a place to just share and show off their dolls without all the shenanigans
Why are you in the hobby?
I love dolls, I have since i was a hatchling, and ive always wanted to be able to afford one and turn it into my original character, I have way too many now and even dragged my husband into it, and found that i love just making new characters based on dolls now too, the creativity of it and the fun to watch a character go from 2D to 3D is happiness, my husband and i now create characters based off dolls we put together or dolls based on characters i doodle, its terrible, theres more dolls than wall now
Why are you part of Dollvale?
I am part of Dollvale because I want a place where you can just store your dolls, share your doll page, show people your dolls and all your hard work and your creativity and say "these are my little shelf goblins" and have a giant virtual wall to show them off to the community, and i want to make sure that stays possible
Anything else members should know?
I try to keep to myself, but im always open for messages on here or discord, but sometimes i dont reply for awhile because im also a full time working mom, so if im not working or with kiddos, im focusing on refining things on the site, and sometimes i forget to be social
Hello~ My name is Harken! I have been in the doll community for going on ten years now.

Why are you in the hobby?
I am a writer and have always loved dolls as I grew up. It seemed so very natural to want to shell my characters. The art of the hobby is delightful and I enjoy all aspects of it! Sewing, face ups, mods, ect!
Why are you part of Dollvale?
I am looking forward to helping people just joining the community! It was hard to find the information needed when I first started and I want to help to make sure other folks have an easier time of it <3
Anything else members should know?
I am LGBTQUIA+ I am a safe place. Please feel free to DM me.
Hi! I’m Amon aka Doll_Philosoher. I’ve been a member of many bjd and other doll related groups for years and a collector of dolls of varying types since 2015. As a male doll collector I find community challenging but my husband urges me to be more involved!
What do you do for the site?
For the site I primarily help moderate content. I also build advertisement flyers (using Canva) and help implement new features. I’m not a computer genius so I leave that stuff to others.
What do you do for the Discord/community?
In Discord I assist with content moderation, new feature implementation, welcoming new members, assisting members in finding what they need, and helping locate holes in content that may need to be more throughly evaluated. Mostly just a man behind a curtain answering questions.
Why are you in the hobby?
I began doll collecting as a mental health project. I was suffering deep bouts of depression and bought my first doll as something that I could “tend” to. He got clothes and shoes. A giant converted vintage Barbie house. The works. Once I realized the wide range of dolls within the community I began researching and landed in 70+cm resin dolls. While I still have a myriad of types and materials of dolls I owe it all to one simple mental health project.
Why are you part of Dollvale?
DollVale is an effort to be something for someone. Maybe not everyone. But for someone. When I joined the community I found many places to be aggressive and difficult to join as a novice. I want to extend welcoming arms to the community so that others have a place to learn and grow, and experienced collectors have a safe sharing space. Whether people join for the education then go elsewhere, or make it a lifetime spot they want to call home, I wanted to be part of it.
Anything else members should know?
My personal life is usually that, personal, but I think it’s important to know that I am a male doll collector who is married to a male. We have a special needs son that we adopted together. These don’t make me more qualified to be a mod in a doll space, but they do speak to how vigilantly I fight for marginalized, underserved communities. It’s the core of who I am and what I stand for.
